Poetry of Russia
« on: June 30, 2023, 04:29:10 AM »
I should be here right now.,
In this city where the war…
The reserve of strength has almost completely dried up,
The one that the Lord gave me.

I need to save the children,
From Nazi mines and rockets,
So that they can continue to grow,
Where there is no evil.

It's scary for me to be in the enemy's sights,
I remember my family…
And I scold myself for being weak,
And it gets harder for me.

But clutching the cross to his chest,
I felt a wave behind my back,
After all, there is always hope,
And the Lord will give you more strength.

That's really close to my goal,
Well, let me be weak now,
I pray, saying to myself: believe!
And the victorious hour will come

We will protect the country - we will protect our children - our future

0 out of 10. Nothing rhymes and its not in the form of a limerick.

Go to war for lies
A story as old as time
Idiot Putin
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

This guy is a well known poet in Russia, per my mail order bride

Talks about the cross and the Lord, though, so many Scoopers will hate
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

In 2007 my wife and I were at the Alhambra in Spain.  Our tour was "paused" for 90 minutes bc Mrs. Putin showed up and wanted to see an exhibit by herself.  We were stuck out in the hot Granada sun.  I have cursed her name ever since.

Was this written by ChatGPT with the prompt, "write a bad poem that doesn't rhyme about war in Russia"?

Just for fun, I tried that prompt. ChatGPT still misses the concept at times.

In Russia's vast expanse, a tale of war unfolds,
Where shadows cast their darkness, and sorrow takes its hold.
From snow-capped peaks to endless plains, a land that's torn apart,
The echoes of conflict reverberate in every heart.

A symphony of anguish, with discordant notes of pain,
Where bullets pierce the silence, and hope seems but in vain.
Men and women, brothers and sisters, torn by strife and hate,
Their lives entwined in battle, trapped by a cruel fate.

The winter's icy grip, a fitting metaphor for war,
As lives are frozen over, shattered on the icy floor.
Soldiers march in unison, their spirits worn and tired,
Their dreams and aspirations consumed by the fire.

In crumbling cities and forgotten towns, destruction runs its course,
Leaving behind scars of sorrow, an everlasting source.
The cries of mothers echo, as sons are laid to rest,
A tragic reminder of the price that war detests.

Yet amidst the chaos and despair, a flicker of hope remains,
In the hearts of those who yearn for peace, their spirits unrestrained.
For war, my friend, is never just, a senseless dance of death,
And in the midst of darkness, love fights to take its breath.

So let us strive for understanding, seek solace in embrace,
To mend the wounds that war has caused, and heal with gentle grace.
For Russia, like all nations, deserves a brighter day,
Where unity replaces conflict, and peace forever stays.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.
