J May and Buycks tore up the Virginia scrimmage...not a Beasley type effort, but very close. He did not know about the score, but people in the know are very high on these two.

Edited to clarify

______

Lets not get to excited... he was placing against Fulce in the scrimmage who's isn't a force down low.  the same can be said for otoule who was matched up against mboa.

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Did your source elaborate on what they were doing particularly well?

I can't wait until freshman Jeronne Maymon dunks on senior, preseason All-American Luke Harangody and stuffs him like a turkey.

Freeport Warrior

My media friend saw Buzz in the airport coming back from NY after media day and he talked to him for a bit.  He said out of all the players, Buzz was highest on Maymon, ie. busting his tail, doing the little things, etc. He said Maymon is going to surprise people this year. Having seen him play a few times, he reminds me of a Danny Fortson (college) type guy who could be a double-double machine in a few years. A real center would certainly help his game. Hopefully, our two bigs can provide at least a few serviceable minutes this year.

If he ends up being a beast in his career, odds are he will have many double-doubles THIS year. Most of these real good players have huge impacts as frosh.
