#6 MU vs. Utah State on Friday in Boise, Idaho

Meets up with Winner of #3 Missouri / #14 Cornell.

I think that's not bad!!

Norm

Geez, Boise ID. That sucks.

TVDirector

utah state...
what do we know about them?

Muhoops85

I did not check 2 boxes on my NCAA ticket form.  One was Boise.  Aaaaarghhhhhhh!!!!!!!1

haven't seen missouri much this year and don't have a clue about utah state...  anyone got thoughts on these match-ups?

ErickJD08

It should be interesting.  They have a solid big man but its nothing we haven't seen before.  WE should be favored though.  I don't mind the potential second round either.

I don't know, but this is the first time in a long while that I haven't been totally pissed over our seeding.  All things considered, not too bad IMO

Best win against Utah.  Not much else RPI wise.

Looks like best win was against Utah.  Losses to Nevada, Boise St., St. Mary's and BYU.  Their RPI is 25.

Haha, Wisconsin with a 12 seed against FSU.

rocky_warrior

Hmmm...I like it so far.  Couldn't ask for much better.

But, being in CO, Boise was my preferred location.  ;D

Now, if I can get away from work...

MUWeb7

and...No. 2 Memphis in our bracket

ErickJD08

I have talked to some Missouri fans and they are Jeckel/Hyde team.  So its the roll of the dice.  We could have gotten a worse matchup.

Actually, this is the first time this decade I don't feel like we were screwed by the selection committee.

Their RPI is 25.

Speaks to the absurdity of the RPI. Time to get rid of it. This is a game MU should win.

MR.HAYWARD

kinda favorable not crazy about utah St in idaho but that should not be that big of a deal,  Misoori is quick but not big, Mu 's record versus Mike Anderson is not so good.  this is a different team sweet 16 now that we dont have to play the best 5-6 teams in america...missouri will seem easy

Wareagle

Quick scouting report, Utah St. is the 13th best team in offensive efficiency in the country.  They play insanely slow, they are ranked 324th in terms of pace.  They shoot 2's, 3's and FT's well, to the pace of 13th, 9th, and 23rd best in the nation respectively.  They are 4th in effective FG %.

Their defense is lackluster, at 169th best in the nation.  Their 3 point defense is not good, they are ranked 297th in 3 point percentage.   They are 325th in terms of forcing turnovers.

Sounds like it will be a slow, grind it out game.  I hate watching those games - hopefully we can speed it up.

If U of I got a 5 seed, we should have got a 2 seed.  U of I is garbage.

Their RPI is better than ours.  They destroyed Nevada last night.

Based on the teams out in Boise, we're not going to get one of CBS's lead announce teams. I'm guessing we'll get one of these three for the call:

Ian Eagle/Jim Spanarkel
Craig Bolerjack/Bob Wenzel
Tim Brando/Mike Gminski

If I had to guess, we'll get Bolerjack and Wenzel. Find out tomorrow.

They destroyed Nevada last night.

Well, They won by 10, 72-62.

I admittedly didn't watch the game.  But from the final score it doesn't look like a complete "destruction".
