Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they gave all 11 B10 teams bids, the more the merrier.  It all just increases our chances of meeting up with one of them in the tourney.  Unfortunately none of them will get out of the first round.  My dream would be a sweet 16 matchup against Illinois.  That would be equivalent to a bye in that round.  75-34 final.

Besides, we have no hard and fast rule on TC threads.  If a mod feels like it doesn't belong, it gets moved.

Translation, he's doing the same thing every coach does from every conference.  Boeheim, Calhoun, Howland, etc.  They're all given directives from the conference commissioner to pump up as much as possible the other teams.  It's a recruiting ploy as much as anything.

The Big Ten lackeys will eat it up and that's who it's directed to.

Otherwise, absolutely nothing to see here since every coach does it from every conference.
