Thanks for your suggestions.  I have the situation under control.

1.  I roped my assistant coach into attending the baseball meeting for me (he's missing the start of his kid's basketball game to attend)
2.  I explained to my boss I'll have to take the meeting from home since I have to leave the office for 5:30 mass on Ash Wednesday anyway.  There will be a lot of "I'm not sure I follow, could you please rephrase the question?" when I am called upon during the meeting.  I think I may have to actually go to mass (usually I do the noon ash ceremony that doesn't have a mass) to help avoid the whole eternal damnation thing.  (Besides, a prayer for the return of Hayward's 3 point touch couldn't hurt, could it?)
3.  The wife is gonna have to live without American Idol or watch it on hulu.com or live on the smaller TV.

Just for a little more help, I believe Gesu is having a mass at 10 PM after the game (if you happen to be close).

Thanks, but I'm in Connecticut.

Tell your boss you can't work tonight, religious holiday (Ash Wednesday incase you forgot), gotta head to church.

Edit:  Bah, you got it all figured out already.  That's what I get for not reading the entire thread.

Don't worry, isn't MU basketball an extension of worship???  /end blasphemy

As many faithful catho'lics tell me, Ash Wednesday is not a holy day of obligation!  What will they  tell us next, Sundays aren't technically part of Lent!?
