Are you talking about THE Jeff Zampanti, one of the most underrated, insightful writers of our lifetime? I think he may of even attended Marquette and covered the men's basketball team sometime in the mid-90s. That's what I heard.

Sounds like a great guy!

If Jeff Zampanti is Vulcan, and Vulcan knows Wilson, and Wilson told Vulcan that Wilson's interest in Marquette is still strong, then Buzz needs to get his head examined!  Sign the guy!  Come on!

This recruiting has become goofy to say the least.

The two people who seem to know the most about Jamil Wilson's recruiting are  AAU coach Ike Wilson and Tony Curro.  They may even know more about Jamil's recruiting than Jamil and his family.  ;D

And the poster THEGYMBAR of course.

I can tell you with complete confidence Marquette was always high on his list and still is today. If there was an offer from MU still on the table, he'd be headed to Marquette. He has no bitter feelings towards Buzz or MU assistant Tony Bedford. Just the opposite exact. While some schools were willing to wait on Wilson, Buzz simply decided to move forward. It's as simple as that. No hard feelings on either side. Wilson loves Marquette (the coaching staff, the players, the proximity, the university) and can't say enough about the school. I have a feeling this is going to turn out to be a missed opportunity because he has re-established himself as an All-American talent and will show it at the next level. His athleticism and developing skill level are off the charts. Also, he is one of the nicest kids you'll ever meet. Questions about his effort and desire can be attributed to one thing: He is bored at this level. But anyone who has watched him recently knows he looks like a future NBA Lottery pick.

Welcome to the board Mr. Wilson. All the best for your son , wherever he ends up.
Once a warrior always a warrior.

I wish Jamil the best but we really don't need someone who isn't willing to commit undercover and honor his mother at the same time. It hink we are better off not dealing with this guy jerking us around. We look like fools to everyone else in the state if he doesn't pan out.

Please give up the pipe dream. We're not getting Wilson!

Pipe dream? Sounds like the title to "The Michael Phelps Story."
