Bobby Brannen from Cincy.  I HATED that guy.

I hated the "surfer" too!

He hasn't changed either:

THEN

NOW

I guess he's currently a personal trainer in the Cincy area:

Adolph Rupp...

The reason no one names their children Adolph.

Ahhhh, but you under-estimate the stupidity of some people

One of the Scandanavian countries [I forget which one] has [or maybe had] an agency that approves baby names.  When I read stories like this it starts to seem like a good idea.

Jason Maxiell...that was the guy who cheap shot Cordell Henry.  He was the classic, stereotypical Cincy/Huggins thug.  Have to also mention Kenyon Martin, Alando (8th year senior) Tucker, and recently Jerry Smith...not enough bad can happen to that overrated piece of trash.

Lab warrior,
How long have you been attending MU?  Looks like you're on the 10 year plan.

mcnaulty21

I'm there right now, so it's pretty easy.

1) That crap-sack Jerry Smith. That was the worst night of my 2.5 years so far.
2) Luke Harangody
3) Michael Flowers

Bobby Brannen.  Nice badass barbed-wire tricep tattoo.. Did you get that in prison?  Ironically, you were the only Cincy player from the mid-90s who DIDNT do time.

Che Guevara.  Stop blowing kisses to your girlfriend, you hack.

Basically any Cincy player... Damon Flint, Lazelle Durden, Fortson, Dontonio Wingfield, Melvin Levitt, Kenyon, Pete Mickeal, Ruben Patterson... all agents of evil in the mid 90s!!!  I had graduated, but I hate Steve Logan, possibly most of all.  Player of the year, and you cant even get a cup of coffee in the NBA??? WTF???  If you are 5'10, don't holdout and argue, just take whatever contract they give you!  Dumb. Ass.

DeMarco Johnson was a pain in the keister too.

ALSO:  Imari Sawyer was the one who punched Cordell in the nuts, if im not mistaken.

MUfan12

Maxiell was the one who punched Cordell in the CUSA Championship game in 02. He set a screen, and as Cordell came around he got him in the nuts. Should have been thrown out of the game for that.

Strokin 3s

Confirmed I remember witnessing the Maxiell punch to the nuts of Cordell.  I believe Maxiell was a freshman that year.

MUfan12

I was young, but I remember those Cincy teams... was Brannen the one who got into it one year with fans behind their bench?

I'm surprised I didn't see Donald Little on a lot of lists. I still can't believe he hit that shot.

Man were there some battles with MU and UC... but without Huggins I have no real reason to hate them anymore.

Hards Alumni

Always hated Maxiel, Steve Logan, and Huggins more than anyone else.

Reece Gaines was up there... but that was a respectful hate.

reinko

I still can't believe Donald Little kidnapped his college roommate and set him on fire.

That M-er F-er. No respect from me at all. I wasn't at MU yet, but my level of hatred for him was off the charts. First the crap he pulled after the 3OT game on Wardle's senior night. Then hitting that shot to end our homecourt winning streak. We had to hear all the comparisons between he and Wade... where's old Reecey now?

Oh yeah... Italy. Bastard.

I was at that 3OT game, and to this day it is my favorite game that I ever attended... and I was around for the final four trip and all that jazz.... we were even sitting in the upper deck.  That game was just electric to be at.

The shot he hit 3 seconds after Diener knocked down what seemed to be the winner was ICE COLD.  Before the crowd got done celebrating Diener's 3, he had gone back down the floor and pulled up way behind the top of the key and just buried a 3... it sucked, but that was a great game to be at as well.

I hated him, but it was a respectful hate... he wasn't really a jerk, just a good player.

I don't know, running around the court with your jersey off, then flipping the crowd the bird on your way out... that was enough for me.  :)

Hards Alumni

well, I can't say I remember the finger part... (he probably would have been suspended a game at least by the NCAA if he did it), a celebration is pretty common when someone knocks down a huge shot.

cheebs09

Well its a very common celebration for that school. Jerry Smith did the same thing when he hit the game winner.

MarquetteDano

Okay, a lot of mentions of mid 90's and on, but anyone remember Herb Jones from Cincy?  That guy killed us.  Every year we seem to have a shot to beating Cincy and he would just takeover.

If memory serves, we played Cincy three times in 1992 and he must have scored like 80 points in those three games.  He outrebounded McIlvaine and Key and he was like 6'4" at most.

Good old days of the Great Midwest.  I believe Cincy beat Memphis (with Penny Hardaway) in the regional final that year to get to the final four.  Jones had like 25 points and 15 rebounds.
