Non-Conference  --   11-2

Conference --           10-8

BE Tournament --      1-1

NCAA Tournament --  1-1

23-12.  Those numbers would be disappointing to me.

I don't quite get it.  Why would you be disappointed with a 23-12 record if that is what your predicting going into the season.  Wouldn't a 23-12 record mean the team met your expectations and a season with more than 12 losses mean it would be disappointing?  Just wondering thats all.

WOW what a brutal last 5 game stretch.    23-8  (NC 12-1 C 11-7)  Would have had higher expectations of Mbakwe was around as I believe we are one big man short of a legit Big East title contender.  McNeal will be a seriously considered for Big East player of the year.

OOC  11-2 (Stunned by either Dayton or UW and one loss to either TN or NC State)
BE  11-7

BET 1-1
NCAA  1-1

Overall  24-11

Just not enough talent on the interior or behind the arc to reach the next level.

fanatic--

My words come from a "grand scheme" viewpoint.

Understanding our serious limitations as a team, and understanding the competition level we face in conference, I would find it disappointing that we see a triumvirate the caliber of James, McNeal, and Matthews sputter around the 22-24 win plateau in their final season. Then again, if they finish with 24 wins and lose in the Elite Eight I can't imagine anyone calling that a disappointment.

one last bump.

I'm actually compiling everyone's predictions and plan to throw it up on Cracked Sidewalks later today.  Including the previous CS predictions, we have 33 entries for the full season.  How about a few more?
