Sir Lawrence

Does anyone know why he wears it?  Truly medical, or to cover some nasty tat?
Ludum habemus.

Chili

protect the elbow. there is a decent sized pad around the elbow.
But I like to throw handfuls...

State

For show...not a chance he would wear it at the next level.

snakesinthesnoilet

either way, it beats the hell out of that huge shoulder pad he had for a few games last year.  Something like that is obviously for medical reasons, where as the sleeve is all for the show.

Chili

sleeves serve a medical purpose as they protect the elbow like an elbow pad would.
But I like to throw handfuls...

dwaderoy2004

yeah in the same way pants serve a medical purpose since they provide a layer of protection.  but the medical benefit from the sleeve is fairly minimal...

Chili

the sleeve in basketball is equivalent to that of the elbow pad batters wear in baseball. or shin pads in soccer. protects and pads the elbow joint and ligaments from contact. the actual sleeve part is just to hold the pad in place.
But I like to throw handfuls...

I can't believe wearing an elbow pad is comfortable when shooting jumpers, although I noticed Fitz has also worn one --- albeit on his left elbow.

Is that too negative?

yeah.. you had 3 "-"s and no "+"s in your post.. I'd advise you to correct it ASAP.

i thought the sleeves were worn to keep the muscles and the joint warm / loose.  similar to the tights that were banned in the NBA last year.  i have noticed James does have a small pad on his, so his might be for a different reason.

PRN, i never said all your posts were negative, only about 85% of them.  i am surprised that there was no comment from you though about how the sleeves show how little control crean has on these kids and the program.  It's sad that you have to draw attention to your posts that don't put down the program.
