Milwaukee is the 34th largest television market in the country out of 210 markets tracked. 

Give her a break, that's a large market.....Toledo, Wichita, and Mobile.....those are mid-range TV markets

If you actually read the article, you'll see she had a couple of professional challenges early in her career and has worked her way to Fox 6.

Whether Milwaukee is the 34th or 10th TV market shouldn't matter, she's worked hard for her success and appears to be happy personally and professionally.

She a successful MU alum in the public eye, and that's good for all of us.

Milwaukee is a top 40 Media DMA market, and thus considered big time by media buyers, etc.   It's certainly not top 20, but a nice accomplishment by this woman and MU graduate.

She used to date clausen back in college and ended up marrying a guy that played soccer at MU.  Really nice person...people should be congratulating her not comparing TV markets...

Speakin of media   do any of you guys know if dish network offers the full court hoops or sports packs like Directv.  Actually i did not order full court hops last year as i was able to wacth all the Mu games on masn and sny etc or the sports pack  also they are in hd while full court is not.  but again the question can i get all that stuff.  My phone company is offering a bundled deal where I can get my internet and phone which i already do and add in dish for a 6 month promo of 420 a month and then after that it will only cost me about 440 for in essence the same thing I am paying directv $90 for. 
any direct to dish converts out there that could advise?

very true... and often times they get mentioned here for their work (Steve Rushin, Tom Snyder come to mind).

I'm not saying this is a huge story... but when a former cheerleader becomes a sports anchor and has some success, I think it's at the very least interesting.

Probably because she was a broadcast major in college and a cheerleader on the side.  Apparently you think that cheerleaders are majoring in cheerleading.

No they do not.  From the MU Archives pages:

Marquette University published a student yearbook continuously from 1915 through 1999. The College of Journalism provided administrative oversight of the publication, and from 1917 the nascent Marquette University Press served as the Hilltop's printer...
...The Hilltop appeared in print format for the final time in 1996, as a three-part, soft-cover edition. From 1997 to 1999, the Hilltop switched to a CD-ROM format at a much reduced cost of $15. National media outlets featured it as the only college or university yearbook to be published this way. However, rising production costs and waning student interest led to the end of the Hilltop in 1999.
