For those of you that have gone before I am looking to solicit your opinions on the best way to go about getting tickets for the games?  When do we buy them? etc, etc.  At least one other fellow poster and myself that I know of are planning on making the trek out to New York, how many of you are thinking about going?

I went last year and will go again this year.  Marquette will designate a hotel in Times Square as their home and hold a daily and nightly party/gathering.  This is where I bought my tickets the day of from the Blue and Gold fund.  In addition to the B&G, Alums were giving away extra tickets.

The first day is the "hardest" to find tickets (not hard though).  After that, a flood of tickets become available from all of the fans from the losing teams.

I went last year with my wife and we had a blast in NY.  We purchased our BE tickets from MU before flying out and we ended up behind the backboard 4th or 5th row, which turned out to be great really.  We stayed in the hotel MU suggested which was right in Times Square.  If you decide to do something on Broadway get your tickets right away, there were a lot of shows already booked for the most obvious times.  Some of our best meals were in the little street cafe type places, but all the restaraunts we went to were pretty good.  The only bad part about the trip was that MU lost in the first round (that did suck).  Tickets were easy to get after the first sessions, but for the Championship game with Syracuse tickets were very hot and expensive.
