Wisconsin beats Pitt by 14, dominates the game pretty much from start to finish.  What do you make of this?

You mean, as compared to the Marquette game a week ago?

Different situation since it was at home for Wisconsin, so can't compare that way.  But in general, Wisconsin has a good team (I've said this several times).  Tucker was phenomenal again.  Butch had his best game ever (finally!).  Chris Rock, er, Taylor stepped up when he needed too.  Actually, aside from those three, Wisconsin didn't play that well - they had 73 of Wiscy's 89 points.

Pitt is a load as usual.  They're actually not as deep as Wisconsin, and they still don't seem they have a true point guard.  Nonetheless, they're an incredibly balanced team (5 guys in double digits)  with lots of play-makers.

Is either team worthy of a #2 ranking?  I'd say no, they're both probably in the 5-10 range.  I would have preferred Pitt win due to RPI, but seeing Wisconsin clobber them makes me feel a bit better about the result last week.

Like it or not, UW is damn good. Ryan gets the most out of his team while getting them to play his style and Tucker's experience and leadership gives them the ultimate "go to" guy.
They're probably the 2nd best team in the Big 11 and are a bitch to play in Madison.
Give them credit and look for a deep run in the tournament.

It would have been a perfect time for the roof of the Kohl center to collapse.

UW is better than Pitt and virtually unbeatable at home. Ohio State better play its best game at Madison or they will go home beaten.

I actually thought we had a chance to live up to our hype this year. until I saw the significant talent difference between us and Wisconsin. They're a load. And if Butch is going to play like he did yesterday, look out. They could be real serious title contenders and certainly a number one seed if they take care of business in the Big Ten. Ohio St. looks great, but they lack the experience of the Badgers.

Incidentally, despite the 14 point loss, Pitt looked tough in spurts -- just couldn't sustain it. They are going to be very difficult for us to beat this year.
