Who's kidding who here? Davis, as Coach of the Year, is ripe to move uptown. If you tell me we've approached him and he's staying put at Drake, I frickin' give up.

we already talked about him in another post. a lot of people weren't a fan, but i agree he should at least be interviewed. i think he's better than Buzz--both only have 1 year of head coaching experience at smaller schools, but Keno had a great season (buzz only went like 14-17 or something close to that). might be tough to get davis to budge from the program that his own father built for years.

Tugg Speedman

I'm sure he's been approached.  Assuming he's interested, he probably felt obligated to keep any possible move under wraps until he done with accepting post-season awards this week.

We'll find out next week.

Like Bennett, he has Wisconsin roots.  I believe he was born in Portage when his dad was a high school coach there.  His dad is from the Platteville.  I wouldn't mind Davis throwing his hat in the ring, publicly or privately.

Nukem2

I think Keno is a mid-major lifer.  had a nice season in a weak MVC this year.  Way over-rated.

Niv Berkowitz

Enough with all the "Wisconsin ties" mumbo jumbo.

That means crap to recruits and to the program. All it does is appease all the homers that want their neighbor to be running things. If he's the best candidate, fine. But enough of the Badger state ties. Again...it means jack.

lab_warrior

We can't (and won't) get Keno Davis.  All of the above points are valid--he had a great year in a down MVC.  And correct, his ties to WI don't mean anything.
