Coobey, tell me, Rican, and DKCL we were wrong.

I, for one, regret not laying the criticism on heavier. Should never have held back.

Chicos already pointed out most of my thought.

I'm never going to write the 3 of you were wrong. They were you opinions. Not right or wrong.

What I will say is that I'm not sure through that criticism it was seen just how difficult of a sell the MU job would be to another coach and that Crean staying all these years was good -- not because of his coaching but because of what we would be left with.

Crean was made fun of constantly for all his PR work but let's see how many pub mentions we get from Bilas, Davis, and others in the coming seasons if we are simply mildly successful. We won't get that extra push. Rather we'll just be the little program that Tom Crean cut his teeth at before coaching at Indiana.

Print ad in ESPN the Magazine? Think that happens with Brad Brownell as coach? Bob McKillop?

We better hope that DWade continues his investment after the initial contract. Hell, too many people have made fun of even having DWade around so much but we may need him now more then ever.

Perception is reality. And perception is built on PR/Marketing. We may not have had a brilliant X and O coach, but we had a brilliant showman who knew how to get the spotlight on that faded rust belt city that once housed a national program.

4ever...you were wrong....dreadfully wrong.

I have to agree with Chicos.  I agree TC may have a huge ego but I don't think he wants to see Marquette fail.

On several interviews he has stated how he wants to go back and talk to Dom and Jerel on their NBA draft prospects and offer insight.  I wouldn't be  shocked if Dom or Jerel don't want anything to do with TC but I think that shows he does still want the program to do well.

It really amazes me how Chicos stuck up for Crean and then jumped ship. All college coaches are used car salesman and don't kid yourself that Al wasn't. I'm not sure that I have ever seen a bigger group of turncoats than MU fans this week. GET OVER IT! Last year you were laughing at KY fans and now you are joining their fraternity. Don't kid yourself that it is a business and let's move on.

Chicos, I think you need glasses of wine #5, 6, and 7. ;D
