Rosiak not reporting the whole story regarding Buzz

MU is still continuing its coaching search at the Final Four this weekend, per the AP.  Looks like Rosiak is too connected to one particular candidate.

Hold your horses people until the press conference that will announce the new coach.

MILWAUKEE (AP) - The Associated Press has learned that Marquette officials have spoken to assistant coach Buzz Williams about their vacant head coaching job and will send a representative to the Final Four in San Antonio to continue their search.

That word comes from a person familiar with the search who spoke on condition of anonymity because school officials are not discussing specific candidates in public.

The source says officials spoke "informally" to Williams yesterday. That was a day after former Golden Eagles coach Tom Crean was announced as the new head coach at Indiana.

Williams joined Crean's staff last July after one year as the head coach at the University of New Orleans. Before that, Williams was an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for two seasons at Texas A&M under then-head coach Billy Gillispie.

Marquette's meeting with Williams was also reported by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel today.

That AP story was first posted this AM...so just a revision.  I tend to think Todd has a better bead on the situation.  But, I would guess they will keep looking.
