Does any one else get the idea that this young man has a very high opinion of himself.

LastWarrior

Not as high as Iman Shumpert's opinion of himself.

I get the idea that Hurley has a HUGE opinion of Tom Crean and he wants his player to play for Crean or some other coach he knows.

Tulsa Warrior

Chill, Hurley has 35 years of doing the right thing for his players.  He's protecting Taylor like a parent.  It has nothing to do with anything but that.  It is not a negative reflection on Marquette.  This is a huge decision and he wants to make sure the young man gets the straight info.

In another post (can't find it now), Hurley talk about a recruit that was going to Umass in 1996 then Calipari left for the Nets.  His recruit could not get out of the LOI and proceeded to have three miserable years at Umass before he transferred.

It's perfectly natural for a savvy guy like Hurley to immediately ask out of the LOI to keep all his options open.

Hurley also said they will talk to the new coach and if they don't like him, they will want out.  Yes, MU has the re-recruit him.  But they always have to when the coach leaves.

So, far all of this is predictable.  It happens at every place everytime a coach leaves.  None of the recruits are going to come and half the team is going to transfer.  Then after a few weeks and they get a new guy and everyone is all smiles and the new coach gives a rah-rah speech at his introduction and personally meets with all, 95% wind up staying/coming.
