Badgers ranked seventh in AP poll

Madison - The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team jumped four spots in the Associated Press poll to seventh.

The ranking equals the Badgers' highest poll position of the season and is the second best in school history. UW, which plays host to UW-Milwaukee on Wednesday, was ranked seventh three weeks ago and on Dec. 11, 1962.

Marquette is ranked 20th.
