I've been on this board probably as much if not more than most people all week.  I haven't posted but have read just about every entry (except the one's pertaining to women's bball).  Anyways, when I have posted in the past I have been somewhat critical of TC and the way he coaches.  I mean seriously, who wasn't scared everytime we played against a team thrives in a 2-3 zone?  Can anyone say Syracuse?  He couldn't recruit a big man, his in game decisions were at times questionable and his post season record minus Wade was less than mediocre.

The one thing I liked about TC was that he provided stability to a program.  He got the fans excited and put people in the seats.  But he also made me furious when he wouldn't say that he wasn't interested in other programs.  He ALWAYS left that door open and it made me laugh when people on this board would say that he is not going anywhere....he was just looking for the right opportunity.  The fans should have seen this coming, and not be all that surprised.  Should we be angry?  Absolutely!  But can we really blame him?  Honestly?  It's a substantial raise at a more recognizable program (you can say what you want but that is a fact).  As for the loyalty question, I think people take it a little too far.  I guess I can see people saying this BUT we are all MU grads, we are looking at this with blue and gold tinted glasses.  He was here nine years and as I said before I never felt his heart was 100% MU like all of us.

The people who should be angry are the players.  Those are the guys he made all the promises to.  Those are the guys he didn't tell right away.  He owed to them to tell them before they found out on ESPN.  And I feel worse for them for some reason than the fans.

No doubt... the reason i'm upset hearing about how the players found out and that Crean didn't even have the balls to reach out directly to the three amigos immediately after hearing the story break.  That's irresponsible behavior for an adult who promised these guys he'd be there to the end with them.  I don't blame Crean for leaving nor do I want to tarnish what he did for MU.  That said, I have a lesser opinion of him today than I did on Monday because of how he handled his departure.
