Buzz is the number one internal canidate. Mark has accomplished a lot and we could get him  . . . oh yeah he can develop big men but you wouldn't know a thing about that so its probably a foreign concept.

I wouldn't know a thing about developing big men? Too funny.  Of course you also said Crean was a lousy coach and one of the premier programs in the country just game him $20 million...so who really doesn't know what they're talking about?

I've not been able to make it through all the posts speculating possible hires, but I've not seen anyone mention Mike Montgomery, formerly of Stanford and the NBA. Then again, I agree with the idea that someone with definitive ties to either the east coast or the south may be especially desirable.

I heard the buyout for Sean Miller is $2 mill

simple solution.  hire miller. pay his buyout clause.  offer him a competitive salary  and make the new buyout clause $3m if he leaves mu. it wouldn't be a wasted $2m and MU could turn a profit if he leaves down the road.
