and it would be fine if the door hit your backside on the way out. At the end of 9 seasons, just a big phony.

Now we can get someone who knows what they're doing.

I agree! They're not going to fall for his act in Bloomington like they did in Milwaukee.

Exactly, we could get stalwarts like Dukiet, O'Neill, Deane or a really fat and over the hill Majerus who failed here the first time and cheated while at Utah.

Yeah....woo hooo

Moronic, absolutly moronic.  I hope you remeber this moment when the program reverts to where it was in the late 90's.

I think the same thing every time I see that ridiculous Willie Wapum mascot next to your name.

Dude, with the nickname and the coach hate, you sound like a spoiled 12 year old.

Couldn't disagree more. While I may not agree with him, he has the right to that opinion, just as you do yours. If he were to be banned for that, this board would be beyond weak.

Man...a lot of people need to stop d/r'ing Crean...

Okay, yeah, for sure the man did a lot for our program, no doubt, and I'm thankful.

But I personally cannot easily forgive someone ditching us without ANY notice whatsoever, especially after he recently said there would be no changes in the coaching staff.

So people most definitely have a right to be mad at tom for dissin' us like this.  A heads up would have been nice.

Hey, Chicos, I don't want to see Crean leave either.  However, I think you can take the high road and do it without the personal shots at Majerus.   Here's hoping the AD and the university make another hire like the previous one.

Go Warriors.

Well, follow the timeline.  The interview with Crean about staff changes was last week.  Tony Bennett turned down the job 36 hours ago.  How is Crean supposed to make anything other then that statement last week when he wasn't even a candidate yet?

At any rate, for as much as the guy has done for our program, I find it incredibly douche baggerie taste to rip on the guy now and it surprises me to no end who's leading the charge on that end.  Crean had his issues, always will...but at this point I'll just say thank you for making us better, leaving us better then when you took over with no taint of scandal and leave it at that

There is a point when you're critical and a point when you're slamming someone.  There is no need for "good riddance".  It's garbage and the more we allow this type behavior, the more the boundaries get pushed out.  We don't don't think it's right to say good riddance to a player so why should it be any different for a coach.  This is a matter of good taste and class.  I'd expect more of you people to show it.

Dude, what kind of notice do coaches usually give? The job came open, TC thought it was better, and he took it.

What do you expect him to do?

TC: "Hey fans and Fr. Wild, if the IU job comes open in the next few years, I will probably take it. Is that cool?"

This is the way it works guys.

Okay okay, so the guy's a business man, and I can't hate on him for tryin' to get paid.

What we can hate on him for though, is flipping on his contract and leaving us head coach-less.

And if this messes with any of our incoming recruits, then I'ma be like a Bud Light Commercial:

Dude.

Dude?

Dude?!

So word.  What I'm upset about is he's putting putting business before coaching...but the man's gotta get paid right?  Cuz we're not paying him nearly enough.

Who are your top 3 choices?

Man, if this program is in the shitter in 3 years you are in for some long bitch slapping from a lot of people.

Oh I assure you he's doing this for the coaching as well.  He goes into any recruit's home in the state of Indiana and he's immediately in the final 2 or 3 schools, he can pick who he wants.  IU gives him that credibility.  At MU, he had to work his tail off to get Wisconsin kids to consider MU.  Just the way it goes....that's partly because of how piss poor the university handled basketball after McGuire left and it took to long to get back to where we are, rather then doing the right hin back in 1978 or again in 1983.

But that's another story....remember, those people from back then knew what was best...just like some of those same people today feel they know what is best.   ::)

yeah he should have announced it during the BE tourny.

tower912

When TC takes his staff with him... and our recruit class...and two years from now we are fighting St. Johns, Rutgers, USF, an DePaul for the last BEast tourney bid....and we are somebody else's buy game....PRN and 4ever will still be patting themselves on the back because at least we don't have to put up with TC anymore.    I was at school during the Dukiet years.   We can very easily return to them.

Okay, I got you Chicos.  But the dude couldn't wait another year?  I'm pretty sure there'll be another school with an opening...seems to happen like every other week nowadays.

I came into MU same time our Big Three did, so I mean, I'd have liked to see Crean calling out our guys (whichever ones stay) to say their thanks and farewells at senior night.

I'm not saying he never did anything for us, but just that this move was stanky.  Whatever man...it's Tuesday night and I'm gonna get my large pizza from Papa John's.

I hear what you're saying, but in 2 years all the BE teams will be making the BE tournament.    ::)
