Why I want Pitt to beat Wisconsin
« on: December 13, 2006, 05:18:18 PM »
So I don't have to listen to badger fans talk about how they dominate the Big East, because if the Badgers beat Pittsburgh, I will hear that all year long when I try to explain that the Big East is better than the Big Ten... I mean goodness, they tried to tell me last year that the Big Ten was better than the Big East

Technically, it's better for our RPI if Pitt wins and that's all that I care about. Seriously, that's it. Nothing else. What's that? Yes, I mean in the whole world. Nothing else...just RPI. ;)

I absolutely dispize the badgers but this is the kinda game they always win.  Pitt is way over due for a lose and almost got it at Buffalo the other day.  Different time and place and I would like Pitt's chances, but don't think its gonna happen Saturday.  I would bet within the first 10 min. Gray is in foul troble and Pitt's best player will then be on the bench.

GO PITT!

I'll be rooting for Pitt.  I'll probably watch the game, even though I usually don't watch Badger games.  My general rooting priorities are as follows.

1.  Marquette in every game they play.
2.  Big East Teams in games against teams from other conferences.
3.  Big East Teams not near Marquette in the standings over Big East teams near Maruqette in the standings.
4.  Jesuit Schools over non-Big East teams.
5.  Teams without football over teams with football.
6.  Private schools over public schools.
7.  Teams from non-football BCS conferences over Teams from football BCS conferences.

Larry,

You basically summarize my cheering sequencing.  Weird.  I couldn't agree more.

hmm.. close.. but I would alter it slightly:
1.  Marquette in every game they play.
2.  Big East Teams in games against teams from other conferences.
3.  Big East Teams that Marquette plays over Big East teams that Marquette doesn't play (to evaporate next season)
4.  Big East Teams not near Marquette in the standings over Big East teams near Marquette in the standings.
5.  Schools Marquette plays over schools Marquette doesn't play.
6.  Schools from conferences that have a school Marquette plays against over schools from conferences that do not have a school Marquette plays against.
7.  Jesuit Schools over non-Big East teams.
8.  Teams without football over teams with football.
8.  Private schools over public schools.
9.  Teams from non-football BCS conferences over Teams from football BCS conferences.

Tie breaks are basically by matter of like/dislike of school, fans of school, coach of school's team, etc.

Ever notice if you type or look at the work school long enough it looks weird?
