I think that's cuz you had Marquette winning.  If I'm not mistaken (I may be), you have to guess the correct winner in order to get points for any of the first 3 questions.

edit...ah yes, this is in SoCal's rules at the top of the prediciton board

For categories requiring a score, the contestant will have to guess the winning team in order to be considered for points.
