Fielder is very good and would be highly sought after if he hits the portal, even by teams that have much better bigs than the ones Marquette played last year.  You're talking like he's some complete bum but would still be awesome because Marquette's bigs stink.

Not a bum. He was overmatched in the Big East though. And even at his lowest, I'd take him over what we had.

I did an AI search, and it said Wembanyama, Jokic and Duren will be the best bigs in the portal. Hope Marquette can snag one or two of 'em!

Last year at 7 and 5 in 31 starts on 46% from the field.

This year 14 and 6 on 55% in 30 starts.

Right.  Year older and playing at a lower level.

He'll be a sought after transfer and he's a good player. He wasn't overmatched in the Big East, nor was he a stud. He'd be a solid staring 5 for us.

I believe he grades out as the worst defender in the Big East. I'd prefer Jamier Jones if we added someone from that team.

He was awesome in the Ivy League tournament.  Definitely could play at this level and start at the 3 here.
