Last Two Roster Spots

Now that Sheek is in the portal, what will MU do with the last two roster spots?

Of course, the answer is, "find a stud or two" to complete the roster. But this is easier said than done.

Otherwise, the idea is to bank the scholarships for HS recruits.

Instead of banking them, would you be in favor of:

* Offer Sheek and Norman to get one of both to come back
* Chase and/or Ben Gold petition for a 5th year and return

Guard depth.  After another guard comes in, another stretch 4, if possible.  The math remains the same at guard.  And I would rather have DO, Ian, MP, EJ, AE, NW have to guard 6'8 than initiate offense.

Ugh! Just yesterday it seemed we had the best of all worlds and a guard was all we needed to have a perfect offseason.  Now it's both.  I understand why you think it's a priority to get a guard first.  Need one desperately.  Maybe Sheek frees up more money to get one. But we also need a back up power forward / center.  Hopefully MU can do both.

I agree completely. It's going to hard find a long-term fit at center but this upcoming season has too much promise to trust frontcourt minutes to Josh/Caedin. If we don't get anyone, I sure hope every Scooper is dead wrong about those dudes...

If the actual topic here is what to do with the last 2 roster spots, my guess would be a backup point guard and a backup power foreward.  If you assume the starters are Parham, James, Stevens, Fru and say Owens  I would ask who is the combo guard to fill in minutes for James and who is the combo power forward to backup Parham?  There are five guys to fill in for Owens and Stevens and two guys to backup Fru.  If Fru can be a swichable 5/4 that would work but I don't a point guard or a swichable 2/1 unless it is Walker or Minessale.
