Last year, MU's Q1 and Q2 opponents took 37.9% of shots at the rim, which was 6.9% higher than the D1 average. Through 2 games, 44% of opponents shots are at the rim, and they are hitting 62% of them. It's not great.

So much for being long, athletic and fast this year.

I think Kur Kuath and Oso being defensive erasers covered up a lot for Shaka's early defenses.
Last year we didn't have an eraser (Ben was fine), but Stevie was kind of like white-out, and he covered up for a lot as well.

This year we have no erasers and no white-out so whatever typos we"re making wd are having to live with. And wp are mkaing alot.

The team is long, athletic, and fast.  Just not playing good defense yet.
