My son just finished up a basketball camp in St Augustine.  Was conducted by Bo Clark, who was a long time coach / player for UCF.  During the awards ceremony he saw my son's Marquette gear and explained his dad played basketball for Marquette in the late 40s. I've tried to find any details about the teams back then but not having a lot of success.
Willfully misinformed.

Torchy was the longtime coach at Appleton Xavier, and when he went down to Florida to be UCF's first head coach, he brought down a bunch of players from the Wisconsin private schools to play down there including a former co-worker of mine. But he didn't play (freshmen ineligible) and was homesick, so he moved back after a year.

Eugene "Torchy " Clark had some fabulous Appleton Xavier basketball teams in the 1960s, including a couple led by Robert "Rocky" Bleier.
