That game didn't truly encapsulate the experience of traveling west.  It wasn't that hard or that bad as the game portrays and no one has ever died of diarrhea.  That's a scientific fact but I guess we only use science when it suits us

In 2016, Cryptosporidium infection was the fifth leading diarrhoeal aetiology in children younger than 5 years, and acute infection caused more than 48 000 deaths.
