I actually thought that Oso may have taken another forward last night as a player. It seemed that he played, tougher, more aggressively and showed true leadership with his play. It felt like he knew he was playing against extremely good big men and he decided to move into a higher gear. He has shown glimpses before, and I think last night be the start of even bigger things from him the rest of the way. He looked much closer to an NBA player last night, IMO.

Oso's quickness and mobility for a big man is fun to watch. He still doesn't have a shooting touch, but his aggressiveness around the hoop is definitely more noticeable this year.

Gotta give the love to Jop.  It was a spectacular game coming off a rather blah one.   And he is the reason MU was in the game at all.   Obviously, every point was huge.   Tre's three - one make... if he missed who knows

I gave my SoG vote to Jop, but there was a point in that second half where I said to myself "Oso is going to win us this game, he's playing with a vengeance."

Oso got the ball in spots where you wouldn't expect him to get strong and he did, several times.

He definitely turned a page in his ferocity, and looked much more like a pro. I hope it continues tonight and again tomorrow against Dickinson and then Edey.
I want to see him hold his own on the D end and then dribble, pass, and scores circles around them with his speed and shiftiness

Agreed. Oso showed signs of what he can be down the road. I think last night was his coming out party and think he plays big again tonight. Even his postgame interview seemed more like a man on a mission vs. being a nice guy.

Oso is one of my favorite Marquette players ever.

Arrived with little fanfare and hardly played as a freshman, worked his butt off, contributed as a role player for a good (but not great) team for a new coach as a sophomore, worked his butt off even more, became an outstanding starting center with a unique skill-set for a conference championship team as a junior, worked his butt off again, and became one of the unquestioned leaders for a legit national title contender.

Great young man, great story.
