I'm in favor of pedestrian malls, but I'm not sure that stretch of Wisconsin Ave would be the best place for one. Close old world 3rd street instead, imo.

regardless of your view of it the exercise perfectly encapsulates the difference between Fr. DiUlio and Fr. Wild.  If Fr. Wild was in charge it probably gets done and with great civic enthusiam. Instead Fr. DiUlio did his best to make us look elitist.

It's a shame because after the changes around 12th st, closing Wisconsin Ave makes even more sense.  There are plenty of ways around the main thoroughfare on campus for a few blocks, and it would greatly improve campus beauty, promote safety, and allow for more common areas.  Close from 11ths to 16th.  You can get around the core of campus via Clybourn or Wells.
