Shaka deserved BE COY ...

But not playing Gold in 2d half was a terrible decision.  Terrible.

He was one of the few guys playing at
or above his normal level.

Yes...total brain fart and I love Shaka.  But it was unbelievable to me that he didn't give Gold run in the second half.  Nothing about today seemed to big for Ben.  He was far more composed than our Big East player of the year.  His teammates in the first half should have shared the ball a bit more with him...he was open for several wide open threes and didn't see the ball.

Gold was the only bench player who showed up. The problem with playing him more is Omax and Oso weren't the issues.

Kolek had a bad game, probably some injury excuse.
The rest of the bench was horrendous. And Shaka did near his best not to play them, but had too.

That with a little bad luck leads to a loss

Good point...though I'd have rolled with Gold over Jop and Chase today based on how he played in the 1st half.  Hindsight is always 20/20, but Jop and Chase just had terrible stretches that ultimately killed our 2nd half momentum, not to mention Kolek being off his game by miles.

I thought the same...but rebounding was an issue?

I believe the only MU player tonight with a positive plus/minus was Ben Gold at +5.

I thought the same thing, Chase & Jop played some of their worst basketball of season, super poor timing for sure,  this one is going to sting and I sure hope Ben comes back next year :(

Big oversight from Shaka. I would've give some/most? of Jop's second half minutes to Ben.
