He strikes me as the type of guy that uses phone books. Both as cushions and to find phone numbers.

He probably drives a Minicooper.

Quote from: The Sultan on September 03, 2025, 01:58:03 PMOof...that was a rough listen. Not blaming TB as he isn't in the best of health and isn't really plugged in. He says he hardly watches sports. So it was just the three of them sharing stories which got pretty dull pretty quick.

Quote from: TallTitan34 on September 03, 2025, 02:05:10 PMYeah... Terry was on the Parkins Cancer Telethon a month ago and it was much of the same.  Seems pretty down on his health.

Finished the episode on my drive to work this morning.  I actually enjoyed all of the old stories but it felt like it was a final goodbye.  It doesn't seem like Terry has much time left.

I've met Chuck Swirsky multiple times, have had a bunch of interactions with him.

I can say this...

Even he couldn't put up with Bernstein's bullcrap anymore...

But RIP to a Chicago media legend.  In an industry filled with bitter hot take artists and wannabe know it alls, Boers was one of those guys who you could tell truly LOVED what he did and always found joy in it.  There was nobody better to listen to dissolve into fits of laughter during one of their bits.

I listened to several old Boers and Bernstein clips this weekend on YouTube.  Lots of great memories.

The Score will be doing a Terry celebration from noon to 7:00 tomorrow hosted by Speigel.

Will Murph make an appearance???

J/K, but guessing Bernstein in a prime spot (5pm?), North, McNeil, maybe Greeny?

Greeny is supposed to be on within the hour.

I was wondering if McNeil and Bernstein will close it out.

Also assuming Marquette's very own Brian Hanley will make an appearance.

I didn't realize Jason Benetti was a B&B intern.  Johnny Carmelo.
