I honestly cannot think of anybody who did not play a great (or solid in some cases) game last night. In particular, I loved the way DJ played. He made some unbelievable passes. Forget shooting, if he can dish like that he WILL play in the NBA. He looked like a more athletic Tony Miller out there.  He also had 5 rebounds, which should not be overlooked.

Ooze was super aggressive. That's probably what Crean has been looking for...not sure if he has it in him to get that fired up every game, but it's something we can hope for in March.

On defense, even Acker and Fitzgerald were making plays out there.

Somebody made a point that after that mini run at the end of the ND game, that the team seemed to start playing with more enthusiasm and..for lack of a better word...joy. I think that was very evident last night. I haven't seen a Marquette team having fun like that in a while.

Also, Murff has been saying on the other board that maybe this year, as opposed to the last 4 years, we've gotten our stinkers out of the way early this year and we're poised to finish the season strong. I hope the gr8one is right!

Now bring out those baby blues!!

I agree completely. On the way back from the game now, and we were really cooking on all cylinders last night. Looked like the team from December. I agree that the end of the ND game was a real momentum turning point, and if they keep this up, we won't look back. Go Warriors from the Megabus!

I was most encouraged by McNeal's play.  He played like the MVP he was last year with a great all around effort.  His defense has been there all year but I really thought his decision making on the offensive end was great.

Also, 12 A to 0 TOs by James and the way he ran the offense was awesome.  I hope his wrist is OK.

I'm guessing you are talking about what I said...

I'll say this too, they really seemed to be having fun at the end. Not sure if Crean was relaxed without the tie on or what, but those huddles toward the end of the game looked like an awfully loose and confident bunch. They need to keep that up along with the intensity down the stretch...

I'm not trying to beat my own drum here, but I definitely noticed a little glimmer in their eyes that hadn't been their for a while, and the same group was out there against both SHU and Pitt, and neither one of those teams ever had a chance. Whether it was James injury or something else going on behind the scenes, or some combination thereof...whatever the reason, it seems they have left that behind and have gotten back to playing their brand of basketball.

BTW, I don't know if anyone paid attention to Crean last night, but he was an absolute mad man. He is far from a wallflower as it is, and perhaps it was just too much Diet Pepsi, but I found him to be unusually animated last night.

The entire team from the top down seems to be firing on all cylinders right now. Awfully fun to watch.

That is exactly what I was referring to. I didn't know where I read it, but I agreed at the time

I think it was Crean not having a tie that game...it brought back the joy.    :)

I am not sure how many of you try to listen to TC's radio show or watch his weekly tv show but even when they have not been playing that well, it always sounded like TC was poised and relaxed and that it seemed like we were on the verge of playing some very good basketball.  He always pointed out specifics that needed improvement during games like needing to get Barro to finish strong around the rim and you just get the sense that this experienced team will do some serious damage the rest of the way out.

Last night, I was very impressed although we did play very sloppy down the stretch and there is a drop off whenever DJ goes to the bench.  Here is hoping he is okay as we need him if we want to finish the season on a high note.  But back to being impressed.  Fitz impressed me with his defense and looking for his shot.  DJ always impresses me this year with his passing.  McNeal play a very good controlled game although I cringe a little whenever he takes a 3 point shot.  Cube is back.  Barro was aggressive, assertive and vocal.  Starting to play like we all hoped he would play all year long.
