See he's on the call for
Tomorrows AL game.  Suprising he didn't get back to asst coaching?  He's got a pretty good resume and some MKE ties too, he'd look good on our bench...

He's collecting his buy out this year and will likely land a low or mid major gig so I don't think he has much interest in being an assistant. I would only want him at MU if Shaka does.

I'd love TC on our bench right by Shaka.

It isn't uncommon for fired coaches to be prohibited from coaching for a year in order to get their full buyouts. He can collect his buyout and a salary from TV on top of that - he comes out ahead. Plus, considering how late his firing came there probably weren't options he would have been interested in anyway.

Yes it would be totally on brand for Shaka to fire one of his assistants( 2 of which that came with him from Texas) for no reason...... ::)

I think both Haynes and Hatt have interviewed for HC jobs already. IIRC, the reason Haynes was hired so late was because he was a finalist for the EMU job. I would anticipate one or both of them getting a HC job in the next few years, possibly as soon as next year.

Yes.  Immediately better than many of the veteran announcers we normally are burdened with.
