[Paint Touches] Is it Kam Jones time?

All summer, I had Kam penciled in as a role player that wouldn't see his minutes increase much, if at all (based on D liability and lack of FTs).

His scrimmage performance changed things though. I'm a believer. Here's why:

Just to clarify, it's free throw rate but here is the MU portion.

Basically players that rarely shot it + experts at drawing fouls.

Very bullish on Kam. Aside from being a guy that can score, he brings a great swagger to the team. He definitely looks like a guy who can his lead his teammates.

This article has probably made me more excited about the upcoming season than anything else I've seen or read.

Kam, like a lot of the guys, seemed to fade later in the season last year and his great freshman season sort of became forgotten until the scrimmage.

It was very obvious very early that he's got an amazingly smooth shot, definitely the best on the team and one of the best in the BE. It's great to hear that he's the best returning spot up shooter in conference.

If he can add a dribble drive and more creative ways to score outside of the obvious 3P shot, and if he manages to get to the line some then look out.

Now that I think about it and read this he's probably the most likely to make an all BE team if I were to handicap it before the season starts. Offense matters for those awards, and if he stays on the court he has the ability to become the leading scorer on the team and the best 3P shooter in the BE.

How good of a 3P shooter percentage wise do we think he can become?
43-45%? Better than that?
