It was better than the garbage on 97.3.  Most of those let go will land on their feet.  If Chuck Freimund and Bill Michaels can still get gigs, anyone can.  Really isn't room for 3 sports radio stations in Milwaukee.  Really, it's all terrible to listen to but it does attract a small but loyal following of Joe Beer Guts

Haven't actually listened to any of them in years other than when I hear them as back ground noise out and about.

I'm actually astounded that any sports talk radio station is economically viable today.

I don't really listen to them but I suspect car dealers and gambling websites are what keeps them going.

And boner pills.

I preferred them to the other two stations, but not terribly surprising news.

I'm not commenting on whether or not radio can be a product worth consuming, I'm just saying in an era of ubiquitous podcasts/spotify/apple car play, how is there possibly enough listenership for any radio station not broadcasting the local MLB/NFL/NBA game to charge the car dealer/window company/dick pill/gambling websites enough money to support spectrum, facility, personnel, overhead, etc.?

There's not even a need for traffic/weather to anchor drive time anymore. It just doesn't seem to be *economically* viable.

Same.  I'm surprised all of radio isn't a part of two or three conglomerates yet...

It's been a while, but certainly this couldn't have been as bad as 1540 or whatever that end of the dial sports talk station was that stopped broadcasting at 8 pm back in the day.

They declared a MASSIVE bankruptcy in 2018, and I think we still near bankruptcy again in 2020
