It's been mentioned in other places, but the Techs yesterday were a further indignity on a disgraceful performance.

Shaka gets a T complaining about a travel call ( when they are down 20 !)

Morsell also gets a T and loses his composure.  Kur hangs on the rim
( again ... when his team is getting DESTROYED).

It was bad enough to not be ready to play.  To get dirt kicked in their faces, and to be laughed at ... but the Ts made it even worse...

MUfan12

The tech on Shaka was incredibly soft. Kur and Darryl deserved theirs.

ChitownSpaceForRent

The Kur one was obnoxious only because he's done the same thing all year and never been called for it.

jficke13

All hanging on the rim Ts are garbage and should be eliminated from the game. This isn't some kind of morality play.

True, but a pull-up when you are getting your butts kicked is a bad look.

ATL MU Warrior

I didn't mind them.  It was the only time UNC was unable to score.

Shaka's was a joke and so was Kur's. Kur jumped just as far forward as he jumped up. All his momentum going forward made it impossible for him not to swing forward. If he let go right away he's at best landing awkwardly on his feet and maybe hurting a knee or ankle, and at worst flipping onto his back or head.

Morsell lost his cool getting lit up by Love.

Frenns Liquor Depot

I had zero problem with two of the three (Kur and Shaka) even if they were warranted (I don't think they were).

Morsell's was a really bad look but the kid redeemed himself in the second half by playing tough.

This 100%. Players pull up on the rim all the time, not to showboat, but to control their swinging momentum, avoid kicking other players, and let them land safely.

Are refs just expecting these guys to swing with all of that forward momentum with their arms straight? Andrew Bogut did that once...

About two minutes before the T was called, I told my wife, "Morsell is going to get T'd up before this is over."

Absolutely. All players should be allowed to hang, do a swinging double somersaullt over the rim into a pirouette landing. That would be awesome to see.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

This is the correct answer.  Shaka's was bogus .. Kur's was bogus.  He leapt 3 feet too far and his momentum carried him forward.  Had he let go, he would have crashed onto the floor.  Terrible call.

At least we lead UNC in some category.
Oh yea, turnovers were another one.

Unless Shaka said the magic word, his T was ridiculous. To me, Kuath seemed like he used the rim to hike himself higher rather than protect himself, but I still hate that T call.

Morsell's ... I actually thought it might be a flagrant 2. I guess I don't understand why it was a tech instead of a flagrant 1. But it definitely was something. On the one hand, I guess it was good he was annoyed with the way things were going; on the other, a fifth-year senior and supposed leader needs to maintain his poise. That could have led to a brawl.

But hey ... by far the best part of our game yesterday was our technical-free-throw defense!

Yes, that was amazing defense in light of the rest of the game....    ;)

I would love a contrast/comparison between Kur's T and Teddy Allen's non-T

Dr. Blackheart

All three were worthy and a sign the team lost composure.

Kur's was a text book technical. First, he hung on the rim and then he pulled down on the rim well after the flush. There was no defender around him to avoid.

Morsell should have been ejected. Shaka's was intentional. He should have used one of his time outs instead.
