The Black Fives team MU will be repping tonight.  Figure you all should be a little educated in honor of Black History Month.

The Marquette men's team will honor the Black Fives at the Feb. 2 game against Villanova.  MU will represent the Milwaukee Colored Panthers and Villanova the Philadelphia Panthers.  The women's team (Smarter Set) will face Creighton (Roamer Girls) on Sunday, Feb. 6 as part of the initiative.

With an office on West Pierce Street in downtown Milwaukee, the Panthers' innovative business model included sending postcards to post offices throughout the state, addressed simply, "Manager, City Independent Basketball Team," along with the town's name, but with no address. Yet, they would inevitably arrive at their destinations.
