Are there ever situations like a dinner, golf tournament, or what have you where MU and the Bucks participate together?  I'm just wondering if there's a relationship between both parties?  I know it's not substantial but I still contend that the Bucks winning the title, having Giannis, and sharing the same arena with MU is a positive.  The question is how can this be maximized to our benefit and future recruits?

its been mentioned over the years. yes itd be great for MU but it hasnt come to fruition. i guess tbh do these nba pros wanna mess around with marquette kids? prolly not

Herman Cain

Bucks owners are very hard core business people and just look at MU as a supplicant tenant . No real relation there unfortunately.

No....there are no situations like that.

Marquette students?  No chance.  Marquette players?  Different story.  Thats been well documented.  I think the relationship between the Marquette program and the Bucks/NBA talent is very different than the Bucks and the university at large.

The connection was stronger when Wes was on the Bucks.  He was at games all the time and brought other players with him.

The NCAA prohibits formal relationships between NBA and college hoops programs. The NBA CBA is pretty strict about it too.

It seems that the NBA visiting teams use the Al on a regular basis, so I would say that the parties (Bucks & MU) have a good working relationship. I'm pretty confident that recruit tours of FF would include a Bucks locker room visit.

I remember when I was in school, some Bucks players showed up at Marquette Madness. I remember Bucks legend Joe Alexander judging the dunk contest. I think BJ3 and Jabari have made appearances.

I don't anticipate you'll see any sort of joint initiatives with the Bucks and MU unless there's a financial benefit for the Bucks. I think the Athletic Center soured the relationship a bit.

Marquette certainly is playing up the fact that they play in the same stadium as the NBA Champions, which is very smart of course. A lot of recruits had to be watching the packed stadium and Deer District. Great for recruiting.
