Ja Morant over Joey

Ding Ding!

No one can out dunk me at Dunkin Donuts.

SERocks

And probably not in the conversation for the best dunk in MU history, but a damn fine performance and fun to watch.  All three stars involved in touching the ball.

My fave from the Dominic James era.

I've often wondered if the fact that only the 11,000 in attendance actually saw the dunk added to the mystique of it.

My dad and I were sitting in 410, which was on the opposite end of the floor. Wade drove left baseline and took off from what I thought was an absurd distance. Nope. One hand hammer on Moussa Badiane, who was the leading shot blocker in the conference.

I was at the opposite end in the student section and many of us didn't cheer, we were stunned and in awe of what we had just seen.  Then the pic came out and it showed how incredible it really was.

Wade's reverse ally oop at DePaul later that season was also incredible. Cordell put up the pass and then Wade went reverse and it was a total "holy s--t" moment.

Not the best ever, but I've always enjoyed Derrick Wilson over Paul White.

Oh damn I forgot about that one nice pull

Derrick has had a nice steady post-MU career, even developed his shot to serviceable levels, I like seeing that from our alum

The infamous Ners "That kind of reminded me of me" dunk.

BM1090

Sacar had a couple of very good ones. One @ PC in 18-19 and then one @ SJU in 19-20. Neither reached best dunk level but were as good as some on the earlier list.

Ja Morant over Joey

I felt bad for Joey on that. Bailey got burned on a great bounce pass and was nowhere to be found, Theo was frozen when his man made the pass, and Joey had to drop off his guy on the other side of the lane to come over and try to defend as Ja was taking off.

One of the few hilights from an otherwise pretty dismal senior year. Went from enjoying a S16 and an E8 my first two years at Marquette, to that.

Billy Hoyle:

I was at that Marquette-DePaul game at the Allstate Arena where late in the game Cordell through an alley-oop to D-Wade who caught the ball with his back to the hoop for the reverse jam. Wade happened to cut his finger on the rim. The oohs and ahhs could be heard for a few minutes.

Recently I received a phone call from Cordell who let me know that he has been looking for a tape of that particular game. I let him know that I had it and made a copy for Cordell, for which he was grateful.

Fortunately, I was at the game that day and had my father-in-law videotape the game.

One of the unforgettable moments of Wade's collegiate career.

Any dunk by Artie Green. The 'haymaker' never got old!

Any chance you want to post a video of the dunk?

Artie had some great ones ... though I'm not certain any were better than DJ's best few dunks last season.

our group was sitting behind what was left of the DePaul student section which was the end that the dunk happened. We saw Wade go up and then rotate in the air and reverse it. Absolutely incredible athleticism. Please post the video if you can!

This game and the 04 home Louisville games are the two that are not on YouTube that I really want to see...

Same.  And I'd settle for just the dunk and and Mason shot.
