We'll never know. Though listening to Scholl's comments, it sounds like discussions about making changes to Wojo's coaching staff already were underway before then. And assuming Wojo would have still refused, he'd still have been gone.

To me, the more interesting question is what if Wojo had won the BE tourney? Then, I doubt he'd have been fired. But he didn't come close to that, he did get fired, and all is well in WarriorLand.

Yea, but he also won 2 with his own players and was a runner up in another. Plus another FF.  To go with his 4 FF at KU.  Pointing out a specific championship he won with Doherty's players is hilariously petty and meaningless given the rest of his resume.

Incredible recruiter, really modernized and continued to perfect Smith's secondary break. Would never be confused with Tony Bennett but an excellent offensive coach.  Also a really nice guy who is extremely well liked in the business, sharp contrast to his rival up the road

Wojo Nojo so funny to think that game at Carolina was the the nail in the coffin for Roy!  He deserves it!  Coach K  had to love that.....
