Eric Musselman on Pardon My Take
« on: March 05, 2021, 08:54:03 AM »
Fascinating interview with limited schtick from the guys. Muss talks about how he’s successfully integrated a brand new team full of multiple traditional transfers, grad transfers, freshman and returners into a top 25 team. He talks very specifically about recruiting strategy both at Arkansas and while he was at Nevada and what stats they look into to find transfers who can quickly integrate into their system.

He’s also lays out specifically what stats he looks for on a game to game basis from his guys and how he gets the most out of them in practice. Spoiler - No balloon popping was involved.

Interview starts at 42 minutes in on todays episode.

The recruit photos replicating famous NBA moments are genius. Mussleman is a really likeable dude, a proven coach across levels, and his team plays really entertaining ball

Wouldn't want him here.  He spends 2 hours a day in the gym.  1 hour cardio, 1 hour weights.  I want my coaches to be obese beyond belief.  There is no time to work on your own health.  Coaching only, 24/7/365.
