Today's poll is the 1,213th in AP history and just the 14th time that Duke, Kentucky, and North Carolina are all unranked.

The last time that happened was on Dec. 18, 1961 - when only 10 teams were included in the AP Poll each week.

This year the NIT could have a bigger collection of high profile teams than the NCAA tourney.  Right now it looks like the NIT could have Kentucky, Duke, UNC, Michigan State, MU, and Syracuse.  And UCLA, Florida, and Oklahoma are a bad loss or two from being NIT teams

...Maybe this is the year the NCAA expands the tourney to 80 teams.
