Value the Basketball

Can we pin this to the top of Scoop? We’d be very good if we were a below average turnover team. And most of Wojo’s teams would’ve been the same.

At half, points off turnovers 10-0 Nova. Need to fix that ASTAT

18-0 now. We’re down 18. There you go.

Wish it was this simple. We’re loose with the ball, yes. And they’re not. But they’re penetrating and passing to wide open targets. Every pass we make is contested. It’s very rare that someone is open. Under those circumstances, bad things are bound to happen.

Zone or man the defense was a sieve. So very slow in either on the rotations. A lot of work to do over the break.

On offense, five Nova players are always moving with or without the ball.

I recall several times yelling at the TV to move (without the ball).

Not sure if that's coaching or bball IQ

Yep, tried to raise this issue a number of times on the "other" board, but I just yelled at and chastised for criticizing WoJo and not being a "real MU fan".  Just research the stats.  This is not a game anomaly, or a season anomaly, this is a total systemic problem in the WoJo era.  We consistently average 2-4 turns a game more them our opponent which leads to 3 or more points off turns per game.  We've lost a lot of close game over 7 years.  I'm no division one basketball coach, but if a stat is trending this bad FOR 7 YEARS, do you not try to address it?  Apparently not......
