Man I wish Ike could play. Kind of odd he's still included to the same extent when he doesn't even get to hit the court with his teammates. I mean I understand it to an extent...but if he can't play then how is he on the roster?

Perhaps they are using a scholarship for him so he can attend for free even though he won't be playing.

He's stays on scholarship but is "retired" so it does not count against the team limits.

This is correct. However, one of the conditions is that he cannot unretire and play for MU. That is what happen with Liam Morrow. He could no longer play for MU when his health improved.
