Great news. Good for DJ, and good for the team.

Whoot!!! I forgot there's occasionally basketball news on this forum...

Imagine if/when MU lands a 2021 recruit before the season starts...that thread may actually get to 2-3 pages!

Great news for DJ and Marquette. Woo has done a terrific job adding new talent to the roster. Should be a great year.

You have a typo there ... but it's a good one. Because this news makes me want to say, "Woo-hoo!"

That's a hell of a recruiting class Wojo pulled in. Three fine freshman, including a burger boy, and one of the very best transfers who was available. All on the heels of Hausershima. Very impressive.

Now let's have a season and win some effen games!

It's nice to no longer have to qualify everything we say about the 2020-21 Warriors with "if DJ is made immediately eligible." It made sense for him to get the waiver, but until he actually got it, nothing was assured.

Now our only disclaimer is "if there is a season." Admittedly, it's a pretty big one.

I am telling my Badger friends that Ohio St. learned from their mistakes when Potter transferred.

We R Final Four

Badger....friends.? No dude. No way.

Pretty big for the program
We go from a bad team to a pretty good team
Equally importantly it get the ball out of Kobes hands.  Hopefully DJ starts at the 1 and Symir backs him up.  Kobes plays on the wings and his ball handling and assist making  needs are kept to an absolute minimum

What is your definition of pretty good?
I agree that we were a bad team without him, I am not sure that we are as good as last year with him. I do not define that as pretty good.

Maybe not quite as good as last year but i think we were a "good" team last year and trending up and had hit the Top 25.  Shortly thereafter, Brendan Bailey absolutely disappeared ( look at his stat lines last 7-8 games) and Sacar had some real real stinkers.
So to answer i think we will be a Top 40 team. DJ carton is a pro, i believe Greg can have a very nice year and Kobe cannot be any worse.  Symir will be improved.  We will need Dawson to hold his own, i cant expect too much at all from Justin or Osa as Freshmen.

From 70 t-rank with Carton to the 100's without Carton. This is a huge help.

If everyone takes steps forward & nobody leaves the team mid season this could be a fun season of surprising people.

70 makes us an NIT team and I doubt anyone here believes that is a really good team.

T-Rank is fine, but let's wait and see where KenPom pegs Marquette.

Or we could wait till, like, we play the games and see how we actually do.

Nah ... what fun is that?
