The actual "original Antifa" was a paramilitary organization founded by the communists in England and Germany who viewed capitalism as a part of fascism. The idea was that Nazism would not have risen as it did if the citizens had fought them in the streets.

Today's "Antifa" are anarchists who use the title "Antifa" as a justification for violence. They are as much "antifa" as today's IRA is Michael Collins' IRA who fought for the establishment of the Irish Republic. Comparing WWII soldiers to either group is dishonoring them.

just because these guys call themselves "antifa" doesn't make them anti-fascist or legit. They're anarchist white kids who brawl in the street and riot and say "if you don't like it you are a fascist" while they don't know what an actual fascist is.  I laugh at the idea that they're going from city to city since most of them live with their parents and need to take public transit or skateboard everywhere. Trump trumping them up to be something to be feared is laughable.

Louis Vuitton and a running store in my city, along with Apple Store. Nothing says "we hate fascists" like cleaning out a locally owned store of their supply of Nike Vomeros.

there may not be a formal "organization" but the are groups, particularly in the Northwest, who call themselves "Antifa," like these guys, and coordinate with one another just as the white supremacist groups do via social media (though those groups appear to be more coordinated).  They're a gang like the Bloods, Crips, Latin Kings, etc.

One could make an argument that a great deal of "Friends Stand United" members associate with Antifa protests and cause gang activity but even FSU doesn't have the business models or recruiting that the gangs you listed do.
