My sister was looking for a way to explain what this is all about to her kids. She lives in a white suburb in a racially homogeneous city. I told her to tell them that if they went to a store with their favorite African-American player they (her kids) wouldn’t be followed or wouldn’t be denied service but the player would. That’s what it’s about.
