I think what irritates me most about last night is that MU still doesn't have the maturity to handle a big win. It seems like every year whenever they spring an upset, they crash after.

15-16: Beat #8 Providence on the road, drop 3 of the next 4.
16-17: Beat #1 Nova, lose 4 of the next 5.
17-18: Beat #13 hall by 20, lose 5 of the next 6.

And as we all know, last year they were finally able to string together successes, the locker room implodes after the Nova away game, and they lose 5 of their last 6.

And Wojo himself even mentioned on Homer's show last night that he was worried about the team coming out flat. Weird, frustrating trend.

This is my main frustration with the guy. He is the head coach, and he acts like controlling the attitude and preparation of his team prior to the game is an afterthought.

6 years into his tenure and he has yet to figure out that this is probably the most important thing that a head coach should be doing during the season.

At least he's got good intuition -

The irony here is the win at PC last year convinced me that the program had turned the corner, and was in full taking care of business mode.  We lost the 6 out of 7 games.

This and the lack of success in March is why I'm completely ambivalent on Wojo. As nice as that Nova win was on Saturday, with Wojo's teams you're always waiting for the letdown.

Of course you are waiting for a letdown.  You have holes on defense that can't always be plugged and your offense isn't disciplined.  When the holes are exploited and offense makes one too many mistakes you open yourself up for the loss.  If MU ran a consistent offense that moved the ball, they would have won last night.  Howard has too much free reign and dribbles into double teams consistently.  That's not a good trait for a senior.
