A few interesting things from that preview:

++ Praises Sacar's outside shooting and says the key is to force him to drive. Two years ago (or even last year at this time), we all can say we knew that would be the case, right? (Only if we're liars.)

++ Interesting stats about how efficient MU offense has been when in fast-break situations. I hope we get lots of 'em! Still not getting as many as I thought we might, given the length and quickness of many of our defenders.

++ Talked about Theo creating problems "for CU's foul-prone bigs." Sounds like a Scooper talkin' about our bigs!

++ Predicts a 75-70 MU win.

In a toss-up game that's likely to come down to the wire, the effectiveness of the Golden Eagles' supporting cast will be the deciding factor. Markus Howard is going to get his. And Creighton's offense is suited to keep up. But if Marquette keeps the pressure on CU by finding additional ways to score (beyond Howard), it'll be in a good position to win. I think that happens.

This is an excellent research report. Especially the conclusion.

The stat about free throw makes was impressive. Generally, Creighton has been good at defending without fouling (41st in the country at FTA/FGA rate).

I really think we can take advantage inside. Bishop is their only somewhat reliable big, but he fouls a lot and is only 6'7". Get it in to Theo and Jayce, let them go to work and draw fouls while Markus and the guards attack downhill. You don't have to get the team in foul trouble, but getting their "bigs" in foul trouble could really create mismatches, and we have the shooting to keep up if they go 5-out.

Sounds like you're asking to do something that this team never does.

I agree that we should do that - especially early - but I don't expect it.

With most teams, I'm all about feeding the bigs and letting em go to work. Our guys are not the best finishers, though.

Maybe Theo, Jayce and Morrow can go up stronger and more confidently against smaller opponent. Maybe BB has a post-up game.

Any or all of that would be nice because it would create open looks for our shooters.

As brand said, that's not really how our offense has operated. I'd love to see it - if our bigs can be in control (no travels or offensive fouls) and if our perimeter guys can make good post feeds
