Does anyone remember the best ever, Ray Scott in the Super Bowl: "Star, Dowler, Touchdown". That's all he said and it was plenty. Some occasional comments about what's going on like how to handle a zone etc are OK.

Ray Scott was something else. I remember that authoritative voice like it was yesterday. Simple, plain, enjoy the game. Let the game come to the viewer.

Jack Buck was like that on television.
